'Gotham' Season 2 Episode 12 Premiere Date, Spoilers: Mr. Freeze's Icy Powers Get Spotlight In Midseason?
Mr. Freeze and his icy powers get the spotlight in "Gotham's" midseason premiere.
"Gotham" season 2 episode 12 is entitled "Mr. Freeze." According to Spoilers Guide, Penguin took a hit for Galavan's murder and he did not allow Gordon off easily. The latter, along with Bullock, scrutinized Gotham's cryogenic Victor Fries, who snatched some bodies in the episode.
The episode also saw that Gordon was reinstated in the GCPD while Penguin falsely revealed that his deeds were due to mental problems. As a result, Penguin was sent to Arkham Asylum, under the care of Psychiatry chief Dr. Hugo Strange. Gordon and Bullock checked on abduction and murder cases, not knowing that Fries was the culprit.
Fries did the kidnapping and killing spree, as he was experimenting on freezing and reviving humans to freeze his terminally ill wife until he could find a treatment for her illness. The police suspected Fries for the crimes and arrested his wife while he was away. Fries then became successful in reanimating a human being while Strange recruited him for Indian Hill.
According to The Baltimore Sun, Nathan Darrow's take on Mr. Freeze in the midseason premiere of "Gotham" is more relatable that Arnold Schwarzenegger's take on the character in the 1997 "Batman & Robin" film version. As per the publication, the character's madness and agony in the series is more persuading and humanizing than the latter's take.
In "Gotham" season 2 episode 13, which is entitled "A Dead Man Feels No Cold," Gordon, Bullock, and Nathaniel Barnes are set to push their search for Fries, with an idea to look for Nora for help. Penguin is also introduced to Strange while Alfred tells Bruce new knowledge about who killed his parents.
"Gotham" season 2 episode 13 airs on Mar. 7.
