In the upcoming season of 'Gotham,' the Batman-origin crime-drama television series on FOX, fans will see the show exploring deeper into the legends associated with the DC Comics superhero and, at the same time, collect and exhibit his future allies and enemies.

Latin Post reports that 'Gotham' Season 2 will continue to explore crime and transformation. In season 1 of the show, these were revealed via the actions of the corrupt Gotham police department as well as Detective James Gordon. Nevertheless, it is expected that in the upcoming season of the series, fans will see Bruce Wayne's transformation into Batman being boosted from small subplot to a key focus, in response to the viewers who thought that the Season 1 failed to concentrate on youngster, pre-crusader Bruce Wayne.

In fact, Wayne's universe will expand as new criminal elements like Dr. Victor Fries, A.K.A. Mr. Freeze, are brought in the plot of the hit television series. Similarly, Amygdala as well as a "pre-embryonic" Joker will also be a major part in 'Gotham' Season 2.

In an interview with ComicBook, series executive producer Bruno Heller shared, "The beginning of season two is a big Joker-oriented, or 'how the Joker came to be' kind of story," adding, "The beginning of season two is the very earliest origins of how The Joker came to be."

Meanwhile, talking to The Hollywood Reporter, Heller said, "We're going to find out how the hell Jerome, the proto-Joker we met earlier in this season, connects with the Joker as people known him. That's the big focus of the beginning of the second season. We're going to tell the story of how the Joker came to be."

Fans will also see Lucius Fox, an ally to Bruce Wayne, in 'Gotham' Season 2. He will be guiding Wayne as the latter probes into the activities of Wayne Enterprises. Precisely speaking, Lucius Fox will train as well as mentor Wayne, in addition to helping him to manage the numerous challenges that have cropped up since the murder of his parents in an alleyway before his eyes.

'Gotham' Season 2 will premiere this fall and will be aired every Monday on FOX.
