On Friday, Gospel great Maranda Curtis released her latest album, Open Heaven. The new album features Curtis powerful vocals as well as songwriting and debuted at No. 1 on the Top Christian / Gospel Albums charts on iTunes and Amazon.

Recorded live in Delaware, Open Heaven features what the singer describes as a unique blend of "gospel, jazz, soul, and pure inspiration, which captures the listener." The singer says when people listen to the album, she wants them to know that God is the God of miracles.

Announcing the release of her album to fans on social media, Curtis says, "This is the day that the Lord has made! I'm humbled and it's my pleasure to share with you 'Open Heaven.'"

"This was my offering to God," Curtis explains. "A labor of love and tears! It is my prayer that miracles will hit your lives like never before! I pray this project makes you hunger and thirst for the very presence of God! I pray that you enjoy it! Thank you so much for your love and support!"

Fans were not slow to react, with one user, Mariam, responding to the album announcement, "This song [sic] blessed my socks off okaaaaaaaaaay! I started to cry on the highway! The instruments, the voice, the anointing!"

Open Heaven is available now on all digital outlets and everywhere music is sold and streamed. Highlights on the record, include the worshipful "Nobody Like You Lord," and the sweeping title track "Open Heaven." The opening track, "Power Lord," starts off the album on the right note with an upbeat, soulful sound.

Curtis is currently planning to support the album with the "Open Heaven" tour kicking off in May and visiting select cities around the U.S.
