Gospel Singer Lexi Releases Her New Album 'Just Listen' Today
Gospel singer Lexi on Friday released her first new album in six years, Just Listen, available for streaming and download on all digital platforms and for purchase in stores and online now. The new highly anticipated project from Motown Gospel's multi-hyphenate singer has been gaining momentum since the release of the album's lead single, "In The Room," in March.
The singer says listeners will find her in a renewed more exciting space on Just Listen, saying fans and music enthusiasts will find a soulful and honest Lexi. Her reignited vigor and recording approach shine through on each song on the album, and Just Listenmoves seamlessly between urban grooves and up-tempo dance numbers, to beautiful pop ballads and smooth soul tracks.
Having returned to music and singing after signing with Motown Gospel, listeners are likely to discover a more soulful singer than heard on previous records. Leading up to the album recording Lexi said she's anticipating great things with her newfound team at Motown.
She performed a sneak preview of the album on Sirius XM's Kirk Franklin's Praise channel in an exclusive "Artist Confidential" concert this past week, garnering rave reviews. Lexi shared her heart and lessons on life before performing to a packed house, filled with fans and industry leaders.
Passionate about health and helping others to improve their own well-being, Lexi launched the #RunningWithLexichallenge in conjunction with her album announcement. On National Running Day on June 6 she hosted a virtual 5K, challenging followers to participate in the race by running, walking, jogging the 3.1 miles at their own pace and post video of their participation.
