Gospel Group Zion's Joy! To Perform On 'Huckabee' Talk Show On TBN This Weekend
Gospel group Zion's Joy!, which recently made news headlines, has been invited to perform as the featured musical guest on the acclaimed TBN talk show Huckabee, airing tomorrow, Sat. July 14, and on Sunday, July 15 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT.
Zion's Joy! will perform their single, "What Would Heaven Look Like," which recently made unexpected news headlines after Facebook flagged the music video as "political content" and summarily blocked the video from the social media platform. The company has since admitted its mistake, unblocked the video and apologized to the gospel group followed by extensive media coverage, including a story in The New York Times and a prime-time interview with Dana Perino on Fox News Channel.
Following the invitation to perform on Huckabee, the group released a press statement expressing their anticipation:
"Zion's Joy! is honored to have been invited to appear with Gov. Mike Huckabee on his successful new prime-time program," says the group's founder, Robert W. Stevenson. "We're grateful for the opportunity that so many media outlets have provided us this past week, and now we look forward to performing for America on Huckabee this weekend!"
Zion's Joy! was founded in Indianapolis in 2008, and is currently comprised of singers Kay Insley, Camille McKnight, Lia Matthews, Karen Hall, Shekinah Caldron, Lynesha Sweeney, Patrick Taylor, Jeffery Porter, and Ramone Griffith. The group has brought their uplifting music and message on tours across the U.S., using their voices to deliver their unique blend of new and old school gospel and contemporary Christian music.
