New gospel artist Rodney Douglas, Jr. on Thursday independently released his debut EP, How I Made It. The EP is the first new music from the St. Louis-native since his 2014 debut single "All The Glory," and during that time he has been busy writing songs and perfecting his talents.

"This is my first body of work," Douglas shares. "These are songs of healing that God gave me to help me through some of my toughest trials over the last few years. I believe that the release of my EP is timely based on the current state of our world."

How I Made It is produced by Michael "Rill" Whitfield, Jr. Penning all of the songs on the project, Douglas sings a duet with fellow St. Louis-based Christina C. Bell on the opening song "One In A Million." On the beautiful worship ballad and single "Glory," produced by Josh Mayfield, Douglas showcases his passion for music and ministry, and the song is included on the EP as a bonus track.

Talking about the release, Craig Towns from Douglas's management team at C-Note Entertainment says, "Rodney's level of musicality is just as important as his love for music no matter the genre. He prides himself on presenting his music and ministry in excellence and giving God his best. These are among the reasons why we signed Rodney."

Douglas first began singing and serving in ministry at his home church Greater New Covenant Church in St. Louis, where his father, superintendent Rodney Douglas, Sr. is pastor. His first entry into the gospel music industry was the single All The Praise, featuring the songs "All The Glory" and "I Want God."
