'The Gordin Cell' New Series News: South Korea and U.S Pick Up Israeli Spy Drama for Remakes

The Israeli spy drama, 'The Gordin Cell' has just been picked up by South Korean television. The show will be remade by the IMTV network, and will go by the name, 'MICE'.

'The Godrin Cell' is a very popular spy drama in Israel and will be the first South Korean adaptation of any Israeli show. Production on the show will begin soon and it will air in early 2015.

Execs at IMTV say that South Koreans have quite a love for dramas and shows about family. The Korean version will focus on a pilot who is torn between his family and his country. The Israeli version of the show's plot is about a pilot who was suffering from the same torment, but his parents were Russian spies.

The show has also been sold to Russia and a version in the United States will air in the near future as well. NBC has bought the rights to remake it, so American viewers can expect it to be pretty good.

'Allegiance' (the U.S version) will focus around the same type of plot as 'The Gordin Cell', and on that note, George Nolfi who helped to create 'The Adjustment Bureau' will be making the show for NBC.

Fans of the Israeli show are very excited to see that it is coming to at least two more countries. It seems that political shows have been on the rise lately with the addition of 'Scandal', 'House of Cards', and 'State of Affairs'.

On a side note, no casting selections have been released as of yet, but fans can be sure the official casting lists will be available soon.
