GoPro Hero 5 Specs, Release Date Rumors: New 60 FPS GoPro 5 to Launch in September 2015?
It has been barely a year since GoPro Hero 4 Black and Silver were released and now speculations are increasing on the Internet about the upcoming release date of the 60 fps GoPro Hero 5 in September of this year.
Action-camera, GoPro Hero 4 had fallen short with reviews and because of that the U.S. based camera company is making a better version that includes revolutionary features such as an expected 4K resolution or a whopping 8K for a more vivid take on images. With the resolution leveled up, the camera may sport a 2800 mAH capacity battery, a 150% increase from its older sibling.
Beach enthusiasts and even divers may be able to take it 30-60 meters under water, according to rumors reported by CrossMap. There are also additional rumored features such as the 4.0 HDMI port and Bluetooth connectivity. Yet, GoPro Hero emphasizes intensively on the frame rate which has been jumped from 30 fps experienced on Hero 4 to 60 fps.
The miniature camera will have minor physical changes including new buttons and a new LED indicator as it is aimed to be portable and convenient for thrill-seekers. According to Ecumenical News, the device may be priced between US $400-$500 once it will be launched. However no further confirmation has been made by GoPro.
Meanwhile, this upcoming revival for GoPro may turn the tables for Xiaomi and Polaroid after they had beaten the company in revenue during the previous year. GoPro could win back what they have lost and sustain it with this promised version, GoPro Hero 5.
