GoPro Hero 5 Release Date Rumors: Latest Version Hero Camera Will Roll Out With New Karma Drone?

According to some rumors, the upcoming Hero camera, the GoPro Hero 5 is ready to be rolled out, but for some unconfirmed reason, the camera's release date has been held back twice already.

The camera was supposed to be released in October. Then it was postponed and it was announced that it would be released during the holidays, but it didn't happen either.

Some are saying that the camera is really ready but is just waiting for the final touches of its supplementary product, the Karma drone. The two may be revealed to the public at the same time. Korea Portal speculates that both the drone and the camera will be launched some time in October of this year.

There are speculations that the Karma drone will be compatible with the new action sport cameras and as well as the old ones.

GoPro CEO Nick Woodman recently expressed how proud his is about the latest version of the GoPro Hero. He said that the company is "committed" to making a breakthrough experience which everyone has been waiting for.

"In software, you'll see the beginning stages of this new experience in the March release of our entirely new content management application, GoPro for Desktop," Woodman said (via ZDNet). "GoPro for Desktop represents a breakthrough in convenient offload, access and editing of GoPro content," he continued.

"It provides tools to easily sort large amounts of footage, as well as trim and share directly to Facebook, YouTube and other social media platforms," he added.
