Google Nexus 2016 Phone Specs News, Rumors: No HTC Logo On The Next Device?

A new leak has surfaced which allegedly show what the 2016 Google Nexus phone will look like.

The rendering was published by the Android Police which gave this new leak a confidence level of 8 out of 10, which is pretty high for a rumor.

The image shows a two-tone black on black design with the letter "G" on the back, although it quickly added it may not be part of the final device. It will also reportedly feature an aluminum body with a glass back casing that forms about a third of the frame.

The news article, however, noted that there's no confirmation yet from any news release whether or not the final design will include the HTC logo in the 2016 Google Nexus phone. By all indications, the likelihood of that happening is nil.

While it may not feature the HTC logo, the leaked image does look like the design is based on the HTC EVO.

In related news, Ars Technica noted the three holes on the right side of Google Nexus phone 2016, which could work as a microphone, a laser autofocus or a color sensor. Then there's the presence of the fingerprint sensor, which is nothing new of course as this has already been adopted in the 6P.

But the developer preview of the Android N featured some functionality to some of the buttons, so it's possible that these will also get some makeover in the new Google phone.

Watch out for more news about Google's Nexus 2016 phone, which will surely intensify in the days to come especially after the new leaked image.
