Google Nexus 2016 News, Rumors: Release Date Expected To Be This October?

Google is quite predictable in terms of introducing its devices in the market. In this regard, the release date for the Next Nexus 2016 is likely not going to be before September ends.

Previous reports claimed that HTC and Google may be collaborating to make the next generation Nexus up until 2018. According to the rumors, the devices have been codenamed M1 and S1 which, in keeping with the names of the fishes, have been identified as Marlin and Sailfish.

Pocket-Lint pointed out that the Nexus 5X and the Nexus 6P only hit the shelves in October of 2015 after they were officially announced by Google on Sept. 29. The tech giant already teased either an autumn or fall release date for the Next Nexus 2016, and it's still within that timeline.

IBTimes reported that the Next Nexus 2016 looks a little like the HTC 10. Although the report quickly added that the image could not be confirmed from mainstream news outlets, so it could very well be a fake or an artist's personal rendition.

Ahead of the release date, Mobi Picker said there may be some basis to the HTC basing the design of the Next Nexus 2016 on the 10, blended into the aesthetics of the Huawei Nexus 6P. But users may even be surprised by what the Taiwanese manufacturer is prepared to offer if it veers away from the HTC 10.

"HTC is mainly known for the impeccable build quality and beautiful design that it provides in its smartphones," it said.
