Google Chromecast Update News: More Partnerships and TV Networks Added to Streaming Service
Google announced this week that they will be adding more partners to their Chromecast HDMI Media Player service. Chromecast is one of the newest competitors of Netflix, Roku, and Apple TV. Google is trying to add more partnerships in order to increase Chromecast popularity and sales.
Chromecast is a $35 adapter that is plugged into your television or computer which allows you to watch certain channels and shows. The recent channels that were added to the Chromecast are Comedy Central and Nickelodeon. Also added were Epix movie channel, Starz Encore movie channel, and Yupp TV- a channel that streams more than 170 Indian television and movie channels.
Google has also added TuneIn to Chromecast which helps radio listeners to find their favorite station out of over 4 million. TuneIn also features millions of podcasts as well. Listeners can enjoy many types of music with this feature.
Chromecast has gotten very popular recently due to its inexpensive price. Many people see this as a great gift for Christmas or as a simple stocking stuffer. Users have been very happy with Chromecast and as Google begins to take over the world of media and Internet, we can see more and more channels added to Chromecast.
Our hopes are very high that Google will continue to add movie channels and cable channels to this service. Sooner or later, they might just be the ones who are going to replace Netflix and other Internet television streamers.
