'The Good Wife' Season 7 Spoilers, Premiere Date: Fans Asks Questions About The Sexuality of Cary? [TRAILER]
There were a lot of CBS' "The Good Wife" fans asking questions about the sexuality of Cary Agos. A couple of incidents in the season aggravated the issue. However, the show's executive producer, Robert King, is dismissing all the rumors about the issue.
"The Good Wife" executive producer says Cary Agos (Matt Czuchry) is not gay, according to International Business Times.
"We liked how Cary was out of step in trying to get in touch with the newest generation coming into the law firm," King said in a response to TVLine questions.
King was firm in his statement that Cary's potentially intimate moment with junior lawyer Dirk (Phillip Shinn) was all a misunderstanding.
"He wanted to belong and he wanted them to feel like they belonged. And of course it's misinterpreted by the young associate as a come-on," King continued.
In the season premiere, Dirk was visited by Cary to tell him that the partners had passed on the idea that Dirk pitch. Cary was just eyeing for a better relationship with the firm's younger associates.
"I don't want you to give up on pitching new things, so just come to me and I'll walk it in with you," Cary told Dirk.
"If you need anything, I'm here," he added. The friendly gesture was misinterpreted by Drik. He responded by placing his hand on Cary's, causing the senior partner to pull away.
"It's just the way you were talking," Dirk followed up.
That "Cary might be gay" issue recurred in the show when Dirk came to Cary's office to apologize; stating that he's not gay.
Season 7 will return on January 10, 2016 only on CBS.
