Golden State Warriors vs Cleveland Cavaliers Game 6 Live Stream Free Preview: Watch NBA Playoffs Game Online
Golden State Warriors' fans begged for some kind of adjustment after the Cleveland Cavaliers thoroughly controlled the pace of the game for the first three games of the Finals on their way to a 2-1 lead. And after the Dubs strung two impressive performances by going even smaller to get one win shy of their first NBA title in 40 years, it's curious what kind of adjustment the Cavs can come up with going into Game 6 at The Q.
They may finally have run out of answers. They've done an incredible job pushing the Warriors to the limit in the first three games with such a depleted lineup. They outrebounded the Warriors in Game 3, and fed starting center Timofey Mozgov on his way to a career high 28 points, yet still lost. They decided to play small with the Warriors (not the best of ideas) and had Mozgov out on the floor for just over nine minutes in Game 5, and now they're one loss away from elimination.
There's just no denying the advantage of the deeper team in a grueling series like this. In Game 5, the Warriors had five players score in double figures, with Harrison Barnes adding eight points and 10 rebounds.
You can't expect the Cavs to match the scoring depth of the Warriors with their rotation limited to just seven playable bodies, but they will need a boost from someone, anyone in Game 6.
Matthew Dellavedova has been off since being the hero in Game 3, and will have to make his presence felt again if the Cavs hope to stretch the series. J.R. Smith bounced back from a horrid shooting game to score 14 in Game 6, but his output was limited to the first half.
Apart from getting enough offense outside of LeBron James, the Cavs need to figure out a way to make Game 6 the grind-it-out affair they started the series with. It will be awfully tough given how this Warriors team thrives on momentum, but the Cavs must find a way to disrupt their flow by any means necessary.
Game 6 between the Warriors and the Cavs is on Tuesday, June 16 at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. Tip-off is scheduled at 9:00 pm ET. You can catch the action via live streaming here.
