Golden State Warriors vs Cleveland Cavaliers Game 3 Live Stream Free, Preview: Watch NBA Playoffs Online
Through the first two games of the Finals, the Cleveland Cavaliers have shown incredible resiliency. They've simplified their playbook to extremes, with the entire roster queuing to ride the back of the best player on the planet. And they were a final regulation possession away from being up 2-0 in the series while doing so.
That's the testament to the greatness of LeBron James, who has had to do nearly everything for the makeshift offense the Cavs are employing without Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love.
The Cavs defense have also done an excellent job containing the league's best offense. Their offense, outside of James, has not been particularly explosive at any point of the series, yet they have had double digit leads in both games.
The Golden State Warriors, despite conceding home court, still remain favored to win the series, but they must find a way to better adjust to the ball pressure the Cavs have so far shackled them with.
Steph Curry had as rough a game as a reigning league MVP can have in Game 2, shooting 5-23 from the field including 2-15 from three, and worsened the cause with six turnovers. He's only shooting 4-21 from deep in the two games, and must rediscover his touch from deep, with the Cavs' sticky defense making it difficult for everyone else to create their shots.
Klay Thompson was terrific in Game 2, but he was just about the only Warrior who played well. Draymond Green played his usual solid defense, but was unable to create offensively, both off the break, and in the half court"”a huge part of Golden State's offense. Andrew Bogut was thoroughly outplayed by Timofey Mozgov, and the bench, which gave the Warriors a huge boost in Game 1, was pretty much non-existent on offense.
Even just two games into the series, everyone knows that the Cavs will run everything through James. The Warriors have been unable to contain him so far to create separation. This is the way Cleveland will be playing the rest of the way. It's up to the Warriors to prove they can play the way they played the entire year against this incredibly feisty and persistent Cavaliers team.
Game 3 between the Warriors and the Cavaliers is on Tuesday, June 9, with tip-off scheduled for 9:00 p.m. ET. You can catch the action via live stream here.
