According to the Gold City's newsletter, during the week of the National Quartet Convention 2012, the Beckie Simmons Agency will present southern gospel formation Gold City with 2 awards of achievement.  

The first award will be for having #1 songs in each of their last 4 decades. The second award will be handed for the 25^th anniversary of the release of Midnight Cry.

55^th National Quartet Convention will be held September 9-15, 2012 at Freedom Hall in Louisville, KY. About 40,000 fans are expected to join, and about 300 Southern Gospel artists are expected to attend the NQC 2012.
