'God Of War 4' Release Date, News: Theory Around Kratos Is Odin Training Thor?
Nobody quite knows what to think when news about the "God of War 4" delving into the Norse mythology surfaced. But when the gameplay trailer was launched, a number of theories immediately came out.
One of the more popular theories on this Reddit thread is that Kratos is actually Odin training his son, Thor, into becoming the God of Thunder. Again, fans will have to wait for the release date in order to find out more details.
"My theory behind the kid is that Kratos is Odin, and is training Thor. Or possibly the kid is Odin. Either way, I see them forming the Norse set we know from things like Marvels Thor," user Shaxamo wrote. "I think Kratos will realise that is possible to be a good god thanks to his son, and at the end they'll become Thor and Odin."
In the trailer of "God of War 4," Kratos and his son only fought one monstrous troll, but fans were quick to point out about a shadowy figure hovering in the woods that flew away before making himself known. One theory is that it was Loki, but then nobody could know for sure because his very presence wasn't acknowledged by news sites.
For now, there's no release date for "God of War 4." In fact, the news reports seem to suggest that it might not even be called that at all. The number 4 was taken out in order to launch another mythology with Kratos.
In other news, it seems "God of War 4" has no multiplayer feature. This would be a drastic departure from "God of War: Ascension."
