'Glee' Cast News: Lea Michele Takes Late Cory Monteith's Jersey Home as a Memento
After years of being on television, the hit musical series 'Glee' is finally closing and just recently, the show just had its last filming day where the lead actress Lea Michele brought home with her a very memorable thing that used to be her ex-boyfriend's, the late Cory Monteith.
It was the famous framed jersey of Finn Hudson played by Monteith that Michele brought home with her which she took a snapshot of and posted on her Twitter captioning the photo with: "One last thing.
Michele also posted a photo of her with other 'Glee' cast members captioning the photo with: "Last day at Glee tomorrow... It's been the most incredible 6 1/2 years. I'm going to miss Rachel Berry so much," she wrote on Twitter remembering her character in the show.
Monteith passed away in July 13, 2013 from a heroin overdose which shocked fans of the show as 'Glee' also paid tribute to their star character in a very emotional episode. It was a heart breaking scene seeing Rachel Berry, played by Michele sing her goodbyes to her former boyfriend.
Michele now finally found a new love Matthew Paetz but is still apparently cherishing her time with Monteith as she brought home the memorabilia that was in the halls of the show's school ever since the young actor died. Not only Michele, apparently, several other 'Glee' cast members were quite emotional in their final filming for the series.
Chris Colfer who plays Kurt Hummel in the series expressed his feelings towards the show as it ends in his interview with Entertainment Tonight. "Oh, my God. Well, we just wrapped it last night and tears were flowing like blood in a red wedding. I wasn't even expecting it to be so emotional, but it was pretty emotional," Colfer said.
