In season 2 of "Girl Meets World," Riley, Maya and Lucas have yet to untangle the mess they find themselves in until the finale. Spoilers for season 3, however, teased that the series will pick up right where the love triangle ended.

In an interview with TheWrap in March this year, creator Michael Jacobs said that they will address the love triangle right away, although it might not be to some people's liking.

"I think people who are coming to look for resolution of the triangle are going to say, 'hey!' but I think they're going to understand, we are lifting what I hope is a rocket of stories to the next stage, the next level," he said in his spoilers for "Girl Meets World" season 3.

But he said that it won't be the main focus of the storyline, although it's always going to be present under the surface.

The showrunner also said that they will tackle heavier issues like premarital sex or alcohol, but ultimately it's a Disney show, and they would abide by the rules of the studio.

A fan site offered plenty of spoilers for "Girl Meets World" season 3, including Josh being promoted to a semi-regular character, there might be a divorce in the horizon, and a huge plot twist probably in the seventh episode.

Apart from Riley, Maya and Lucas, another love triangle that looms is between Thor, Francesca and Nikki which will reportedly put a strain on their friendship. The tension seemingly is between Francesa and Nikki, who decided between them who will end up with Thor (without his knowledge).

"Girl Meets World" Season 3 is set to premiere this spring on Disney Channel.
