The recent episodes of "Girl Meets World" season 3 have been tackling serious subjects, from emotions to finding your true identity. Episode 7 is no exception.

In the previous episode titled "Girl Meets Upstate," Maya and Riley traveled to the house of Shawn. The two girls sought his help as they tried to figure out the true identity of Maya.

Considered as one of the most beautiful and meaningful episodes of the series, "Girl Meets Upstate" addressed some of the most deep-seated emotions of the characters and showed that the show's motto, "people change people," does not necessarily have to be the way to go. Maya's attempt to find herself did not completely come to fruition in the previous episode, but it made progress with Shawn's help.

The episode ended with Shawn professing his love to Katy and proposing to him. Katy accepted the proposal as Maya and the others watched the two with their teary eyes.

The next episode, titled "Girl Meets True Maya," follows Maya as she does something bad to compensate for all the good things she has done before. Spoilers for the episode suggest that Maya will look for trouble as part of her journey towards self-discovery.

"Maya wants to do something bad to balance out all the good she's done lately," the synopsis for episode 7 says.

In other news, writers of the series confirmed that the ships anticipated by fans such as Farkle-Riley and Farkle-Maya will never happen in the show.
