'Gilmore Girls' Netflix Reunion, Cast Update: Returning Characters Unveiled?
Fans of the hit TV series "Gilmore Girls" will sure feel the excitement as some previous characters return for its upcoming Netflix Revival.
Jared Padalecki will be reprising his role as Dean Forester in Netflix's four-part "Gilmore Girls" Revival series, reports Variety. He was part of the original series as Rory's first romance and the lucky boy who got her virginity, despite the fact the he was committed to another woman at the time.
The pair had a rollercoaster relationship until he left the show in Season 5. After that, Padalecki joined the cast of "Supernatural" and has been present until its most recent season.
His commitment to both TV shows could make his schedule hectic. However, Variety noted that "Gilmore Girls" and "Supernatural" are both now produced under Warner Bros. Television, so there will be someone who could fix his calendar.
Also, Danny Strong will also reprise his role in "Gilmore Girls," as Doyle. This has been hinted before via Gilmore Guys Twitter account, with a tweet that Doyle and Paris are still together.
"He'll always have Paris and she'll always have Doyle. @Dannystrong is returning for the Netflix revival!" the post reads.
On the other hand, Vanessa Marano, who played April Nardini on the much awaited drama-comedy show, will return as well, Entertainment Weekly confirmed. She will be joined by co-star Emily Kuroda as Mrs. Kim.
Other "Gilmore Girls" cast members are Milo Ventimiglia as Jess, Matt Czuchry as Logan, Liza Weil as Paris, Kelly Bishop as Emily, Sean Gunn as Kirk, Scott Patterson as Luke, Keiko Agena as Lane and Yanic Truesdale as Michel.
The official "Gilmore Girls" premiere date will be announced soon.
