Gigi Hadid News: Model Talks Body Image Via Recent Interview
Looks are usually seen first but apparently for model Gigi Hadid, looks can be achieved in healthy ways and as she talked about body image, the model also stresses that she does not conform to what the industry sometimes demands and wants to just be healthy enough to do well in her career.
Sure she really looks good in a bathing suit showing off her fit physique but she doesn't also starve herself unlike some might think. Hadid revealed her healthy ways in her recent interview with Daily Mail Australia speaking out for those who might think that there is only one way to achieve a model kind of body.
"When I was growing up, I was really athletic and I had a very athletic body, like, my thighs were huge but they were like rock," she revealed telling the Daily Mail Australia in an interview just posted yesterday. "I had like crazy muscles and I ate like a man-more than the man that I eat like now-like a bigger man."
The model revealed that once she got into the modelling industry she made sure she didn't look like those that tried too hard to be too thin. "Once I started modeling, one of my things was like, 'OK, like, yeah, I don't need to be a man volleyball player, but I also don't want to be like, [raises her right pinky finger], two pounds soaking wet,'" she told the newspaper.
Hadid also stressed that she can look what other companies would ask her to look like including those she worked with like Desigual, Sports Illustrated, Guess, Tom Ford, Victoria's Secret and Maybelline New York, but she does it in a healthy way saying she wants to be a "healthy role model."
"I can have like, you know, the body for a certain runway show if I need to," she said. "But that doesn't mean that I'm doing it in an unhealthy way."
