Fans all over were saddened by the news that Gigi Hadid, age 20, and Cody Simpson, age 18, are no longer a couple. Gigi's rep addressed the break up in a statement made to E! News.

The rep said that both parties want the other to be able to focus on their career at this time.

"They love each other dearly and have split up in hopes that growing on their own paths will bring them together in the future. They remain friend with no hard feelings and each other's biggest supporters", said the representative.

Although tons of fans are unhappy that the couple is choosing to split, yet again, after making up just five months ago, it is great that they are choosing to remain friends.

Cody continues to work on his music, as Gigi is focusing on her model career. Some might even say that it is easy to understand why they were struggling to make their romance work at this time.

Insiders say that the couple are hardly ever in the same city. "He's entirely West Coast based now, while she is everywhere," says the source.

The couple broke up in May 2014 as well. Prior to this, they had been dating for about a year. At the AMAs in November 2014, however, it was reported that the couple had gotten back together.

The rekindling of their love resulted in a lot of public displays of affection and flaunting of their romance. They were definitely one of the favored young couples in Hollywood.
