'Ghostbusters' Movie Cast: Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones Joining The Film

Decades since the last "Ghostbusters" movie hit theaters, a reboot of the film has finally been unveiled.

"Ghostbusters" may be just another familiar movie title, but catching a glimpse of its trailer will definitely make anyone think it is actually something else.

The awesome trailer which runs for a good two and a half minutes opens with music and visuals almost every "Ghostbusters" fan is probably acquainted with. There's this library ghost Slimer, proton packs, and Ecto-1, marginally revamped to make the grade for a twenty-first century film but practically just the same as the old ones. The three scientists and local resident that starred in the original film are also there, slightly modernized but still resembling their prototypes.

As for the humor, the trailer suggests that the reboot feels quite more physical compared with the first movie, and that's good to know considering how such comicality worked for other "Ghostbusters" film director Paul Feig movies such as "Bridesmaids," "The Heat" and "Spy."  Simply put, what fans are going to get this time is a brand new "Ghostbusters," albeit with a nostalgic feel.

According to Feig, nostalgia makes up a big part of the movie.

"I'd be bummed if I didn't see the Ecto-1 and all that stuff, so we wanted to make sure we give those nods--but make them our own, and give them their own original origin story. When you see the movie, there will be a lot of things you're happy to see, but they're coming at you at a slightly different way," he explained.

The upcoming movie will hit theaters on June 15 and will feature squad stars Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.
