‘Ghost Recon: Wildlands’ News: CEO Expects Title Going To Be Better Than Predecessors

Ubisoft's "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands" is going be better that its predecessors, according to CEO Yves Guillemots.

In a statement during their latest earnings call, as cited by WCCF Tech, Guillemots said that what they could say on "Ghost Recon: Wildlands" was that it had been really well recognized and appreciated by all the press at the Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016.

According to Guillemots, the title had got lots of comments and positive feedback, not to mention that it was a new open world shooter. This made them think that it was a complete revolution for the industry and they thought it would have a huge impact.

Guillemots added that they expected "Ghost Recon: Wildlands" to be one of the best games launched in the coming financial year, adding that since they had done very well with "The Division" in the last financial year, they expected the upcoming title to be a big release in the first quarter of 2017.

"Ghost Recon Wildlands" is a forthcoming open world tactical shooter video game and the tenth installment in the "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon" franchise. Being the first to feature an open world environment, the title is set in Bolivia, which becomes destabiized due to the power and influence of the Santa Blanca drug cartel. This leads the United States Army release a special operations unit called "the Ghosts" to wreck the cartel.

Previously, Ubisoft hosted two special stream sessions for "Ghost Recon Wildlands" on Twitch and YouTube Gaming. As per Ubisoft's website, it was on June 14 at 3:15 p.m. PDT and 8:30 p.m. PDT.

Developed by Ubisoft, "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands" is set to be released for the PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows, and Xbox One on Mar. 17, 2017. Players can pre-order the game on Mar. 3, 2017.
