On the upcoming episodes of 'General Hospital' viewers can expect see some some pretty serious drama as one character will be receiving a harsh wake up call. Spoilers for the next episodes of 'GH' come from the synopsis released by TV Guide, and the insider scoop from IBTimes.

Starting off with the official synopsis for the December 11 episode, "Sonny shares a hard reality with Carly; Sam has a hunch about Jake; Rosalie has a surprise connection."

It's clear that Carly will be hearing something that certainly affects her life, but the viewers will have to catch to episode to learn what that actually is. However, IBTimes went ahead and provided some speculation into the matter.

Apparently, there's a good chance that since Sonny is going through a rough patch during his stay in prison, he might be breaking up with Carly. As viewers of the soap can recall, the last time Sonny spoke the Carly, he was all beat up.

Clearly Carly became worried about his injuries, but Sonny resisted her pity and said he had everything under control. He said, "I know how power works, I know I will get it and I know how to keep it," Sonny said, adding "Soon this is all over, these inmates are going to respect me and I will be safe."

After that, Sonny went on to tell Carly that she should no longer come to the prison to visit him, which leaves some fans thinking that he's going to break up with her.

On that note, it's important to remember that there could be some other vital piece of information that he will reveal to her in the December 11 episode, but as it stands, it seems as though he could be breaking it off once and for all.

The rest of the synopsis does not provide much to go on in terms of spoilers, but it should be interesting to see what Sam's hunch is all about.
