'Gears Of War 4' Update News: Second Update Adds Two More Maps, Fixes And Other Features

A second major update is coming to "Gear of War 4" this December, adding two new maps, some fixes and many other new features. This new update also adds extra value for Season Pass holders.

Following the release of the Checkout and Drydock maps last month, two new battlegrounds will arrive this December: Speyer and Glory.

Speyer is a lonely district that maintains the image of pre-Locust War life. It is characterized by its opulent interiors and quaint plazas that are best for longer range engagements. Glory, on the other hand, is a monument of military might and includes a powerful mounted turret.

Speyer and Glory will be added to public playlists for free starting Dec. 13. As players welcome these two new battlegrounds, they have to say goodbye to Gridlock and Relic.

Meanwhile, some of the new features added to the game are a daily rewards system, improved visual feedback for damage dealt with the Gnasher, vertical split-screen for Windows 10 players, improvements to footstep audio balance, audio and video settings.

According to reports, the developer of the game will detail the full map rotation changes and Title Update notes this coming Friday on GearsofWar.com.

With the new update, Season Pass holders will have additional XP and Credit rewards when they play the Developer Playlist on the week that the update becomes available. Season Pass holders also have the privilege of having early access to new maps on Dec. 6, as well as access to all DLC maps permanently for use in Versus and Horde Private Matches.
