'Gears Of War 4' News: Game To Impress Fans With Enhanced Visual?
"Gears of War 4" is set to impress fans and gamers with its highly enhanced visuals.
In his interview with Dual Shockers, "Gears of War" technical director Mike Rayner said that the thing that they had been able to do for the title was that they had authored all the content at 4K resolution. He mentioned that on Windows 10, one was going to get high resolution texture packs if he had got a system that could support it.
Rayner also detailed that they had put a lot of effort into pushing the hardware to deliver a visual showcase that the title was known for. He added that one had to get a real 4K premium visual experience and they had totally optimized the Xbox One for 1080p rendering.
For the technical director, this visual enhancement removed several layers between the client application and the graphics hardware, adding that it allowed them to push the visuals with higher frame rates, get the most optimal performance, and push the game as far as possible. Also, his statement agrees that "Gears of War 4" is designed to be a visual showcase, as per Game Spot.
Rayner also explained some details about the advantages of working with Epic's Unreal Engine 4. In the same interview, he said that one of the big advantages they had with the engine was it was a cross-platform engine. As per the technical director, they were testing the game on Windows and Xbox One when they build their game and they were always keeping the game running on both platforms at all times.
"Gears of War 4" is set to be released for the Xbox One and Microsoft Windows on Oct. 11. Watch the interview here.
