'Gears Of War 4' News: Brings Back Third-Person Shooter; Xbox One Buyers Get 4 Games
Along with special promo for gamers who will purchase The Coalition's "Gears of War 4" this year, it is revealed that the game is set to bring back a third-person shooter.
"Gears of War 4" is set to feature Marcus Fenix's son JD Fenix, according to MNR Daily. As per the publication, JD is set to lead the team of humans against a new found threat. This suggests that JD is set to cover Marcus' absence in the forthcoming title.
With JD leading the human cast, it is also revealed that "Gears of War 4" is set to see visual improvement, a prime reason behind the delay in the upcoming game's final version.
In his interview with Epic Games, "Gears of War" technical director Mike Rayner said that the game's developer team penned the title's content at 4K resolution, which implies that the "Gears of War 4" is best played on a Microsoft Windows 10 PC. On the other hand, the Xbox One's max quality is at 1080p rendering.
According to Rayner, they also wanted to ensure that they maximize the hardware in order to preserve the title's popularity. Along with visual enhancement, the title is assumed to stick with the known elements in the games' previous iterations.
Meanwhile, players who purchase the digital or retail copy "Gears of War 4" for the Xbox One are set to receive four other games. As per Game Spot, the games are "Gears of War," "Gears of War 2," "Gears of War 3," and "Gears of War Judgment."
Playable on the Xbox One and Microsoft Windows, The Coalition's "Gears of War 4" is set to be released in Oct. 11.
