'Gears of War 4' News: Early Access Beta For 'Ultimate Edition's Gamers; Transition to New Trilogy?

The new "Gears of War" installment in the franchise will shift its focus to another protagonist, another world and a whole new story. Following a couple of unanswered questions in "Gears of War 3," the fourth one will surely provide what will be needed and also make the transition to the next chapter of the franchise.

According to Christian Today, the upcoming Gears of War video game will only be the opening of a new saga. The developers of the game made a brief statement about it recently.

Game Informer recently interviewed Gears of War 4's creative director Chuck Osieja and studio head Rod Fergusson about how they will be making the transitions from ending the first trilogy to starting a new one; what to avoid and what new things to bring to the table.

According to Osieja, they wanted to set up a whole new universe and create bigger stories. However, Fergusson added that they "talked about things like alternate planets and things like that."

"... We wanted to stay on Sera because we wanted to have the opportunity to revisit old places and use specific weapons, to have these touchstones to the past," Fergusson continued.

The online beta for the game will be opening real soon. Gamers who had bought "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition" can enjoy the privilege of getting an early access beta from April 18 to 24 while the real open beta will be available from April 25 to May 1.
