'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Spoilers, News: Actress Nathalie Emmanuel Teases New Characters
'Game of Thrones' cast member Nathalie Emmanuel has teased that fans will see more characters in Season 6 of George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" novel series adaptation on HBO. Meanwhile, it is expected that the production of the upcoming season of the popular fantasy drama series will commence soon in Girona, as the City Council of this Spanish city met recently to discuss the production related issue.
According to IB Times, the television series has already out paced "A Song of Ice and Fire" book series, as the Martin is yet to complete his sixth novel "Winds of Winter." In an interview with DigitalSpy, Emmanuel, who portrays Missandei in the show, said that she is unable to say much about what is in store for the fans in 'Game of Thrones' Season 6, since she is not sure how the story will continue.
However, Emmanuel shared that the upcoming season will have a "lot of momentum" and the viewers can apparently feel that right from the beginning. The actress also said that the fans can expect to see more characters when the show returns next year and some of the characters, who have not interacted before, will now get an opportunity to interact.
While a number of key characters on the show were seen interacting for the first time in the 'Game of Thrones' Season 5 and, according to Emmanuel, this aspect of the show "kicks up more" in Season 6. She added that 'Game of Thrones' Season 6 will be "pretty exciting."
Currently, shooting for 'Game of Thrones' Season 6 is already underway in Northern Ireland. It is expected that another unit of the TV series will soon commence production in Spain, as the City Council of Girona met recently and announced to the residents and the public on the Girona website that filming for the popular TV series will begin in the city from Aug. 30 and will continue till Sept. 16.
The 'Game of Thrones' Season 6 will be filmed in different locations in Girona including Bishop Cartana, the Steps of Sant Marti, Claveria Street, Pia street, San Lorenzo street, King Ferdinand street, Placa dels Jurats, Steps of the Cathedral, Manaies street and steps of Sant Feliu.
