'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Premiere Date, Spoilers: Sansa Escapes From Winterfell With Theon, Two Characters' Fate To Be Revealed?
"Game of Thrones" season 6 is expected to be a favorable one for Sansa, since she will receive the respect she deserves, according to series actress Sophie Turner.
Turner plays Sansa in David Benioff and D.B. Weiss' "Game of Thrones" season 6. In her interview with Entertainment Weekly at the Screen Actors Guild Party, Turner said that season 6 was a really big one for Sansa, adding that it was probably her best season yet.
Turner also said that Sansa was finally getting that storyline that one had been craving for the past five seasons. According to the actress, one could only suffer so much before she finally got her, the respect that she deserved.
In the interview, Turner also said that it was Sansa really coming into her own and she really commanded that she deserved and she grabbed hold of it, ran with it, which, for the the actress, was really good.
According to Christian Post, Sansa had been struggling in the HBO drama series, adding that the elder Stark daughter could not seem to meet her break. As per the publication, the character's fate even turned to the ill path in "Game of Thrones" season 5, in a time when she had to go back to Winterfell and tie the knot with Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon).
Season 5 let fans witness the loss of respect to the character, as Sansa was raped by Bolton, which was seen by Theon. As per the publication, it was viewed as unneeded and it made a number of Sansa fans upset.
In the last season, Sansa escaped from Winterfell with Theon by jumping off a wall. The fate of the two characters is yet to be known, including whether Sansa truly gets the respect she deserves.
"Game of Thrones" season 6 is set to premiere on Apr. 24 on HBO.
