'Game Of Thrones' Season 6 Spoilers: Dragons Will Be Larger in GoT Season 6
According to the makers of Game of Thrones, the popular television series based on the book series by George R. R. Martin, for season six of the show, Daenerys' dragons will be doubling in size.
Joe Bauer, the show's supervisor for video effects has revealed that the dragons will become much bigger in season six as they continue to grow, feeding on sheep and humans.
Bauer added that there will be settings in the series that humans have not been seen in previously. He also discussed the way in which the special effects used to include the dragons in the show have changed throughout the seasons.
"When the dragons were small, we had little foam rubber models of each dragon and we could carry them on and off of the set and it was no big deal," said Bauer in an interview with Yahoo TV. "Last year, the best we could do was a head and this year it's going to be a finger nail or something. I'm not really sure."
The dragons, Drogon, Viserion and Rhaegal, have been getting larger quite fast since fans of the show saw them come from Khal Drogo's funeral ashes with Daenerys in season one.
According to the book series, there is no limit to how large the dragons can grow throughout their lifetime as long as they are fed properly, so this leaves a lot for fans to wonder about in terms of how big they will be by the end of the series.
Season 5 of Game of Thrones concluded on Monday June 15 at 9pm.
