'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Plot Rumors: Is the Cast & Crew Filming Scene from 'The Winds of Winter'?
Production of the highly-anticipated 'Game of Thrones' Season 6 is well underway and there are rumors that the cast and crew are filming a scene from "Winds of Winter," the sixth installment of George R. R. Martin's novel series, "A Song of Ice and Fire."
Media outlet iO9 reports that the scene is supposedly based on the passage in "The Winds of Winter" that was released in April. In the passage, Arya Stark masquerading as "Mercy" joins the mummer's group during a performance in Braavos that doubles as a cover for Raff the Sweetling's assassination. Sweetling is among the many individuals she has been assigned to kill.
In the meantime, Finn Jones, who was signed on to portray the character of Loras Tyrell in 'Game of Thrones' Season 6, is currently on the sets. In a recent interview with Express Online, the actor discussed several things about the upcoming season down to its finale. While talking, Jones used the word "shocking" more than once, meaning Westeros would be much more uncertain when fans return to it.
Jones told the publication, "'Game of Thrones' is always shocking, so it's never going to stop shocking people," adding, "The end of season six in particular is very shocking. It's so difficult to remember it because my head is so in season six, so I can't even remember what happened in season five."
At the same time, the actor said that his character undergoes a "transformation" that enables him to "go a little bit deeper and darker." According to Jones, he enjoys exploring the depths of Loras' personality and assured fans that they too would love it.
As far as "The Winds of Winter" is concerned, Martin has not mentioned any specific release date. However, in his recent interviews, Martin has been dropping clues as to what readers can expect in the sixth volume in his bestselling saga. For example, the author recently confirmed that Stannis is very much alive in the books.
