'Game of Thrones' Season 6 News: Bran Stark to Return for Season 6
For those that missed the presence of actor Isaac Hempstead Wright as Bran Stark in the last season of 'Game of Thrones' will be happy to hear that the character will return to the show in the upcoming season.
Bran's absence from the last season apparently resulted in a lack of continuity from the books. The show struggles to keep all characters in the series in chronological order, but Bran's character was already farther ahead.
"I can't say a lot, but I am back this season, and it's going to get particularly interesting with Bran," Wright told the Irish Examiner. "He has some interesting visions."
The actor spoke on how he must catch up with season 5 as his studies have prevented him from watching it.
"I missed the whole of the last season because it was right in the middle of my exams, so I didn't have the time to watch it," he says. "But I'm looking forward to getting with some friends and binge-watching it all."
Wright also addressed if he knows if actor Kit Harrington is coming back. There has been many fan theories revolving around Jon Snow's character ever since the series' finale.
"I don't know (if he will come back). He's said he's not," he said. "I wish he would because I love Kit and because the character's so cool. Who knows? We start filming series six at the end of this month (July) so we'll see."
In a previous interview, showrunner David Benioff compared Bran Stark's character to Luke Skywalker.
"Like, it would be far less interesting, after The Empire Strikes Back to have an hour-long movie in between Empire and Return of the Jedi where Luke is training," Benioff said. "It's so much cooler to cut from end of Empire to beginning of Return, where he's become the Jedi."
