'Game of Thrones' Season 6 New Cast News: 'Spartacus: Vengeance' Star Joins GoT

Fans of HBO's hit series 'Game of Thrones' are eagerly awaiting its arrival and are looking to find out all the details before the first Season 6 episode airs. While spoilers for the upcoming installment haven't really picked up, some news about a new cast member has.

This time around, the new season will not be following the books as the story lines of the characters have surpassed George R.R Martin's texts. While this is not necessarily a bad thing, it definitely makes room for new cast additions and characters to be made.

Previously media outlets have reported which actresses and actors have been given a role in 'Game of Thrones' Season 6, and the updated list provided by Christian Post reads: James Faulkner ("Downton Abbey"), Freddie Stroma ("UnREAL"), Richard E. Grant, Essie Davis ("The Babadook").

Beyond that list of fine actors and actresses, is a new addition to the list, Joe Naufahu of "Spartacus: War of the Damned" and "The Last Saint" fame. Besides his role in Season 6, nothing has really been announced about what character the actor is set to play, but some speculation about it results in some interesting conclusions.

Based off his former acting roles, many are of the view that Naufahu will be playing the role of a Dothraki. While the Dothraki haven't really been part of the story line for the past couple of seasons, it makes sense that the producers and writers would want to bring them back.

According to the Christian Post, an ad calling for a certain type of actor to fill a role seems to suit Naufahu quite well. The ad reads, "Qhogo and Akrat: They're seeking mixed ethnicity or other non-white actors for the roles. The successful young warriors need to be tall, confident, with swagger and linguistic bravado."

On a side note, another idea that some GoT fans have put together is Naufahu in the role of Khal Jhaqo who's a leader of the Khalasar that Daenerys Targaryen, Khaleessi, will meet when she sets out into the Dothraki Sea.

Last but not least, for fans looking to find out when they can catch the first episode of 'Game of Thrones' Season 6, they're out of luck. As there is no official release date slated for the series, it's surely going to premiere sometime in the spring of 2016.
