'Game of Thrones' Season 5 Spoilers: New Poster & Video Clips Tease Series Return on April 12

With the close return of HBO's hit series 'Game of Thrones', the network has released a new poster and a couple of clips teasing its fifth season.

The poster has sparked a bit of a mini-debate with the undisclosed notion if its actually a direct tease to a scene that may happen on the next season. It's a still featuring Tyrion, the series' imp, on what appears to be a boat, and facing a huge dragon in the mist.

According to book readers, this poster doesn't translate to anything that happens in the books, but it has been said that the next season will feature deaths of characters that haven't gone in the books. It could also hint toward some of the main characters finally meeting.

"This suggests we'll see a meeting between Tyrion and Daenerys this season, which might strike readers of the novel series as interesting. We won't put any more out there, for those who want to keep their own pace with learning how both the books and TV series play out, but this definitely ups our already significant curiosity about this new season," writes Slashfilm.

The clips that have been released are also pretty short in information but a tease nonetheless.

The first one features Jon Snow confronting Mance Raydar, and the second is Brienne of Tarth seemingly brooding over something with Podrick.

'Game of Thrones' premieres on Sunday, April 12 on HBO.
