'Game of Thrones' Season 5 Release Date Delay, Spoilers: Production Problems May Postpone Premiere Date to 2015
If the latest reports are true, then 'Game of Thrones' Season 5's premiere date has possibly been postponed owing to a few issues that cropped up during the production stage of the popular fantasy drama series on HBO. However, there are no details regarding the specific nature of the problems encountered by the crew during the filming.
The show creators have emphasized that they do not wish to rush through things and make the quality suffer for the sake of meeting the premiere deadline. On the other hand, while the new actors were ready to join the original cast, the casting seems to have been postponed too.
While the production team has yet to reveal any of the characters that will be included in the next season of the show, Alexander Siddig is among the new characters to be introduced in 'Game of Thrones' Season 5. Alexander Siddig will play the role of Doran Martell, the elder brother of Oberyn Martell and the ruler of Dorne. Viewers saw Oberyn being killed in Season 5 after he joined hands with Tyrion Lannister during his trial and then proceeded to fight against The Mountain.
With regards to spoilers, in 'Game of Thrones' Season 5, viewers may see Doran seeking revenge for the death of Oberyn.
There are rumors that suggest that the 'Game of Thrones' Season 5 will divert from 'A Song of Ice and Fire', George R. R. Martin's best-selling novel which forms the basis of the series. For instance, Myranda, who is pretending to be Arya Stark, will marry Ramsay to conciliate the Northern Lords, who are faithful to the Starks and with a view to get their allegiance.
In 'A Song of Ice and Fire', the role of Jeyne Poole, Sansa's friend from Winterfall portrays the character of fake Arya. On the other hand, the show does not feature Jeyne's character.
Earlier, the 'Game of Thrones' Season 5 was expected to air in June 2015, but the delay in the production may possibly postpone the show's return to a far later date.
