'Game of Thrones' Season 5 Episode 3 Recap Spoilers: High Sparrow Steps into the Spotlight
In the third episode of Game of Thrones Season 5, actor Jonathan Pryce stepped into to replace what was lost when Charles Dance, Tywin Lannister, left the show in season four.
His character, High Sparrow, has been foreshadowed quite a bit and in last night's episode which was chock full of plot twists, he finally showed up teaching everyone a lesson about being humble and denying the ego.
Meanwhile, in Braavos, Arya has begun her assassins' training, whici is reminiscent of the 'Karate Kid' movie. She has found however, that she has to give up all of her possessions in order to become "faceless."
Cersei is still on top of Arya's kill list, but she is losing her ranking on other lists thanks to King Tommen being manipulated by Margaery. Some say that Margaery earned her influence because she had to consummate her marriage to the young king. During all of this, Jon snow is rising in status.
He is solid in his position as the new Lord Commander of the Watch, and has cemented his position by beheading the baldy ranger that had the nerve to talk back to him, with the silent approval of Stannis Baratheon.
This means that Snow will not be riding on Winterfell any time soon, but the Stark seat may be saved unexpectedly by Sansa, who has been persuaded by Lord Baelish to marry Ramsay Bolton, even though she has a strong dislike for the clan, as they murdered her brother and her mother.
Bolton is the man who disfigured Theon Greyjoy with a smile on his face, and he makes King Joffrey look like a dream husband.
