'Game of Thrones' Season 5 Episode 10 Spoilers: ‘Mother’s Mercy’ to Highlight Cersei’s Walk of Shame

Season 5 of 'Game of Thrones," the long-running fantasy drama television series on HBO, is finally coming to an end with the episode titled 'Mother's Mercy.' According to reports, it is expected that the focus of the finale will be on Cersei's Walk of Shame or Walk of Penance.

According to IB Times, fans of author George R.R. Martin's novel 'A Song of Ice and Fire,' which forms the basis of the series, are aware that the said scene involves Cersei being stripped completely nude and walking the streets of King's Landing, while an unruly mob affronts her waning beauty as well as the visible signs of aging on her body.

While Cersei will try to ignore all the insults hurled on her and walk with her head held high, the report says that she will possibly not be able to forget the gibes thrown at her. Initially, Cersei will start hallucinating and eventually will lose it when she remembers the prophecy of Maggy the Frog that a younger and beautiful queen will be responsible for her disgrace.

In addition, it is expected that 'Game of Thrones' Season 5 episode 10 will also deal with Margaery's fate. Fans are aware that Margaery was imprisoned for lying to the Faith about her brother Loras. Fans who have been watching 'Game of Thrones' regularly are aware that Loras is being tried for fornication, buggery and blasphemy. However, Loras' fate is not yet known.

Recently, Finn Jones, who portrays the character of Loras, expressed his views regarding what he wants his character's future to be. He said that he would want Loras to be disfigured.

Talking to Vulture, the actor said, "Would he go through a trial by combat? Would he get shipped off to the Wall? Would he die in a cell? Even if Loras is imprisoned, I would like to see him get disfigured by the Sparrows, the same way he gets disfigured at Dragonstone with the boiling oil."

Jones went on to say, "I think that would be really interesting, because the only thing he has left is his looks and his ostentatious. And that's been stripped from him. Keep him alive, but keep him disfigured. That would be really awesome to play, to really destroy him, because he's been pushed and pushed and pushed, and he's about to snap. And that would let the knight that he truly is become unleashed."

Meanwhile, Cersei has opted for a trial of combat, and fans will get their first glimpse of Robert Strong in the finale. Prior to going on her walk of shame, Cersei will be seen instructing Qyburn to replace the empty spot on the Kingsguard with one that would be her champion in a trial by combat. Ser Robert Strong will be filling that capacity.

'Game of Thrones' Season 5 finale titled "Mother's Mercy' will air on Sunday, June 13 on HBO.
