'Game Of Thrones' Season 5 Cast News: Tommen and Margaery Scene Uncomfortable & 'Disturbing'

Last Sunday's episode of 'Game of Thrones' marked the first for a lot of characters, but most notable was the bedroom scene between Dean-Charles Chapman's Tommen and Margaery.

While this kind of content is quite normal on the show, Chapman recently stepped forward in an interview with the Huffington Post to discuss his discomfort with the scene.

In the books, Chapman's character is seven years old, however in the series he's depicted to be around 12. Natalie Dormer's character Margaery is supposed to be much older.

"It was very disturbing. I found out about that scene by reading the script, and I was really shocked. I didn't think it would have gone down like that on screen. Even if I watch it, it's pretty messed up, because Tommen is such a young kid," states Chapman.

As disturbing as it was for him in the show, it must have been even more uncomfortable as Chapman was 16 when he shot the scene, while Dormer was 32.

"While 'GoT' showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff are making a handful of bold moves this season (i.e. Sansa and Ramsay), this was particularly surprising, especially after Margaery's almost-inappropriate seduction scene last year. In Season 4, Margaery slipped into Tommen's bedroom and kissed him on the forehead, telling him it was their 'little secret'. The original scene in the script was apparently even more uncomfortable than that, as Dormer revealed to the Daily Beast last year," writes The Huffington Post.

While the series relies on a lot of mature content from the books, it often gets a bit complicated when it has to be depicted on television with live actors.

Now that the two characters are married on the show, Chapman and Dormer may be faced with the same kind of scenes going forward.
