'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Spoilers, Cast News: Maisie Williams Thinks Jon Snow Is Not Coming Back
While 'Game of Thrones' fans everywhere try and hold on to the glimmering hope that the character Jon Snow isn't gone for good, Arya actress Maisie Williams softly attempts to crush their hopes in a recent interview with E! Online.
"I think people are trying to be very positive about this, like, 'It's fine. He's coming back. He's totally coming back, right? He's going to come back?'" Williams states. "I'm like, 'I don't think so. I'm very sorry!' I don't know, maybe he wanted to keep the hair in the end."
She addresses the hair theory that was recently entertained by a photo taken of actor Kit Harrington in Wimbledon. Judging that he hasn't decided to cut his hair after being killed off the series, fans deduced that he would in fact be returning.
"We saw him get stabbed like five times in the chest," Williams says. "I think he's gone. I mean, I could be wrong, but I really don't think so. And people are like, 'He's going to come back as White Walker!' I'm like, 'Really, we'd bring back Jon Snow as a White Walker?!' OK, you can believe what you'd like."
Williams takes it a bit farther by even debunking the theory that the Red Witch Melisandre would revive him with her powers, as she has been seen to bring people back from the dead.
"I feel like she's far too selfish for all of that," Williams responds.
This can mean one of two things for hardcore fans. They may have to truly suck it up and move on from one of the show's most popular characters, or the actors are doing a mighty good job of keeping the character's return to the series a secret.
Whatever the case is, we'll all soon find out when 'Game of Thrones' returns to HBO later next year.
