'Game of Thrones' Cast News: Sean Bean Weighs in on Jon Snow Origin Rumors
Since the 'Game of Thrones' debut on HBO, viewers of the television show and readers of the book have all debated the true lineage of the character Jon Snow.
Believed to be the bastard son of the now deceased Eddard Stark for at least the majority of the series, more rumors and theories of his origin are now being debated.
While the true answer to the character's parents has yet to be revealed in the books or the show, Vulture recently held an interview with the actor who might have some very interesting insight on the subject.
Sean Bean, actor who portrayed Eddard Stark in season one, tends to believe that he has never truly believed Jon Snow was his character's son. He also hints at his return in an upcoming season.
"He's not my child. He isn't. That's what I suspected all along," Bean states.
"I've definitely got some unfinished business that needs to be resolved there. I'm obviously not Jon Snow's dad. And you need that to be revealed at some point, don't you?"
Bean has also expressed his interest to return to the series, of course this would most likely be in the form of a flashback episode.
He also spoke on how he thinks this truth reveal will affect Jon Snow's character and Kit Harrington's portrayal.
"Probably a bit psychologically confused, I would imagine! I think that's probably an interesting journey for Jon Snow as a character and for [Kit Harington] as the actor. He's been very fortunate in being one of the characters that had a very meaty, substantial, very complex story to be able to discover for himself. He's been lucky to survive!"
