'Game of Thrones' Cast News: Kit Harrington Talks About Epic Battle Scene
HBO's 'Game of Thrones' certainly held nothing back in their latest episode last Sunday night. A battle of epic proportions was depicted with The Knight's Watch, Wildlings, and the White Walkers, making for a remarkable on screen experience.
The one scene reportedly took the actors and crew a number of weeks to film and allocated the majority of the season's budget.
Jon Snow actor Kit Harrington described the experience as "cold and wet" in a interview with Huffington Post.
"All the money on 'Thrones' is spent on the actual sequence or finishing the thing. None of it's spent on the actors' luxury. So we had this tiny cast tent with a river running through it, which is fine," Harington said. "You just muck in with 'Thrones.' It was great."
The actor also spoke on how surprised he was to actually see the final product since so much of it was done through CGI.
"The really amazing bits were the bits where you said, 'Okay, now this giant is going to burst out of the hut, and then all these undead are going to fall off the cliff,' and those are the bits you obviously can't see. So you kind of really geek out about that stuff, and then getting to watch it afterward is really, really amazing," he said.
It only goes to show what the series is really capable of with all of the support behind it. This episode really sets the tone going forward and makes fans anticipate what the finale has in store.
There are two more episodes this season and the stage is set for some very big events.
