‘Game of Thrones’ at San Diego Comic-Con 2015 News: Cast Members to Appear at Friday Panel

San Diego Comic-Con 2015 has already opened its doors with a preview session on Wednesday, which the much-anticipated international entertainment convention will run Thursday through Sunday. One of the major attractions of the event is the 'Game of Thrones' panel, which will be held in Hall H of the San Diego Convention Center from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. PDT on Friday

In the recently concluded 'Game of Thrones' Season 5 on HBO, fans witnessed the death of many main and even minor characters. In fact, the events of the season's final episode estranged some fans, while many other are anxiously awaiting Season 6, reports IB Times.

A report in IGN says that 'Game of Throne' panelists on Friday will include Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams, who portray the characters of the Stark sisters. Turner, who portrays Sansa, was virtually in new territory during Season 5, as her character ended up in Winterfell, a long way from where she is in author George R.R. Martin's novels. In fact, Turner appeared in one of the most controversial scenes of Season 5 - the rape scene involving Sansa and Ramsay Bolton, which infuriated several viewers.

In fact, Theon Greyjoy witnessed the entire horrendous act. Alfie Allen, who portrays the character of Theon, will also appear in Friday's panel, in addition to other cast members including John Bradley, Gwendoline Christie, Liam Cunningham, Natalie Dormer, Conleth Hill, Hannah Murray and Carice van Houten.

As the controversial new director Jack Bender won't be attending the panel, he will not get an opportunity to clarify his claim that he has read a draft manuscript of Martin's "The Winds of Winter." Nevertheless, another director of the popular show, David Nutter will be in San Diego to talk about the previous seasons as well as Season 6.

Meanwhile, Martin too will not be attending 'Game of Thrones' San Diego Comic-Con 2015, as he has already announced that he is cutting down on personal appearances in order to finish writing "The Winds of Winter," the sixth installment of the book series "A Song of Ice and Fire," which forms the basis for the 'Game of Thrones.'
