Galaxy S8 Release Date News: Samsung To Feature New Processor For Upcoming Flagship?
The rumors surrounding the Galaxy S8 have intensified, but there's no news from Samsung to vet any of the info coming out.
One of the rumors came from an alleged leak from Indian exporter Zauba, which listed a new chip, dubbed Exynos 8895. If the report is true, this is an entirely new line considering that the last listed number for the Exynos is the 8890 currently running Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.
Trusted Reviews noted the early news about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note being fitted with the Exynos 8893, as well as a 10nm chip to be launched next year, so there could be some basis to the speculation that the Galaxy S8 will feature a brand new processor.
Nevertheless, BGR said that by all indications, the Galaxy S8 would be Samsung's most powerful flagship phone. The South Korean firm typically utilizes both Snapdragon and Exynos on its expensive devices, but fans should be excited about the 10nm chip from Qualcomm.
Basically, this will mean that the Galaxy S8 would be much more efficient and powerful without compromising on the battery life.
It's worthy to note that the South Korean company will also be manufacturing the Qualcomm silicon chip so it's no stretch that the Samsung Galaxy S8 might be running on the new 10nm chip.
If Samsung will make use of the Snapdragon 830 for the Galaxy S8, it's one powerful phone indeed. According to Gizmo China, the processor will be utilizing the 10 nm process mated to the Adreno 540 GPU with download speed of almost 1 Gbps.
