Galaxy S8 Release Date & Rumors: Curved Edge Still Very Much A Possibility?

It's been reported that the Galaxy S8 being the first device of the series as Samsung is reportedly going to exclusive produce curved edge technology on high-end mobile phones. Most news reports filtering in lately still confirm that bit of announcement from an executive of the South Korean company.

Meanwhile, the rumors continue to surround the Galaxy S8 that include a 4K screen to support the Samsung Gear VR, a dual lens snapper, an iris scanner and other goodies which makes this phone one of the bestsellers when it rolls out.

The rumors are saying that the Galaxy S8's display will feature 2160 x 3840 pixels.

For now, the rumor mill is silent about the release date for the Galaxy S8. There's also no official news from Samsung regarding the launch.

But Tech Radar said that the Samsung Galaxy S8 may arrive on Feb. 26, or a day before the Mobile World Congress will kick off on Feb. 27. The commercial release, however, will not happen until March 13, according to the news article.

As to the specs of the Samsung Galaxy S8, IB Times speculated that it's going to have an 8-megapixel front camera and dual cameras on the back. There appears to be no changes in the main camera, which is still going to feature 12 megapixels. The only addition this time is a 13-MP secondary sensor, which will ensure improved depth of field.

 For now, fans will just have to contend with all the rumors because of the scarcity of details on the Galaxy S8 from official news channels. However, we will publish any info on the new device when it comes along.
