Galaxy S8 News: Samsung To Reveal Revolutionary Back-to-Back Screen?
Samsung could showcase a new technology that allows the user to view the screen from the front and back of the Galaxy S8, according to the recent news reports.
Apparently, Samsung applied for patent that "features two screens on either side of a 'built-in cover,'" said Trusted Reviews.
The article noted that this new innovation would be a major coup for Samsung since smartphone manufacturers have struggled to distinguish their products from the run-of-the-mill devices that are flooding the market.
With the patent application, Samsung seems bent on changing the game if indeed the dual screen will be integrated in the Galaxy S8 or S8 Edge.
It must be said, however, that a patent application doesn't mean that the dual-screen design will make it to the final product. Samsung also has not sent out feelers that hint of a back-to-back screen so that technology could still be far off from now.
Expert Reviews has also reported that Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Edge still have no release date, but there's a good chance that the devices will launch next year.
The report added that the release date for the Galaxy S8 will likely be announced in February, 2017, at least based on Samsung's history with its products. The website is betting that there should be news around Feb. 26.
Of course, end users will probably get their hands on the Galaxy S8 by March or April if the February launch holds true. To date, there is no confirmation from Samsung on these details.
