Galaxy S4 Mini Review: Did Samsung Copy iPhone 5 Specs for Galaxy S4 Mini?
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is now available for pre-orders!
If the Samsung Galaxy S4 is a little too cumbersome, you might want to try out the new Galaxy S4 Mini. Essentially the S4 Mini is the little brother of the Galaxy S4. With plenty of power and all of the same specs and features as the S4, the Mini has a smaller screen.
What's good about the Galaxy S4 Mini? The size is a little more pocket-friendly than its older brother. The screen packs all of the vibrancy and clarity as the flagship phone. There's plenty of power and the Mini has a pretty good camera.
For the Galaxy S4 Mini, Samsung went with a smaller 4.3-inch screen. Along with a 1.7GHz dual-core processor, the S4 Mini operates similar to the iPhone 5. Though the 960 x 540 display isn't nearly as resolved as the S4, it's still pretty darn good.
Galaxy S4 fans might be a little bummed the S4 Mini only comes with an 8-megapixel camera.
Should you buy a Galaxy S4 Mini?
When you think about it, every year Samsung is in an interesting marketing position. They opt to release their new Galaxy S4 in the beginning of 2013, months ahead of Apple's supposed fall 2013 launch. So there's a 5-8 month range where Samsung has their flagship Galaxy S4 competing with last year's iPhone.
What's Samsung's solution? Release a lesser quality S4 that mirrors the same specs and performance as the current iPhone. Genius.
