Galaxy Note 7 Release Date, News: Samsung To Unveil A Curved-Device This August?

Samsung is set to release its Galaxy Note 7 soon and as per reports, some images of the device have leaked, revealing its curved look.

The Galaxy Note 7 is set to have a curved screen when it hits the market, GSM Arena has learned. As per the publication, some of the device's previous images showed a flat-screen version; however, a leaked video showed the forthcoming handheld device with a curved-screen, a USB Type-C on the bottom, and the iris scanner above the screen.

With the leaked information, it is assumed that the flat-screen variant of the Galaxy Note 7 is set to be only a prototype while the one with the curved-screen is set to penetrate the tech market.

In terms of specifications, the curved Galaxy Note 7 is set to have a 5.7-inch screen with QHD resolution. It is set to run with the Snapdragon 820 with 4GB of RAM, with 6GB versions also set to be available. The device is also set to have 12MP rear camera and 5MP front camera for selfies.

According to Sam Mobile, the Galaxy Note 7 is set to come in three colors, Black Onyx, Silver Titanium, and Blue Coral. As per the publication, the black variant looks unique, as the metal frame is also black in color; it is something people have not seen before.

From the Galaxy Note 5, the forthcoming device is believed to skip the Galaxy Note 6. As per reports, the reason behind the tech giant's move is to be at par with its other product lines and to prevent confusion among the device's nomenclature.

Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 is set to be released on Aug. 2. Watch the leaked video here.
